Jules Wabbes (1919–1974) was an acclaimed Belgian furniture designer and interior architect. Born in Saint-Gille, as a young man Wabbes enjoyed some success as an actor, before opening a specialist antiques business in Brussels. By the end of his life, he was internationally recognized as the most accomplished designer of the second half of the 20th century.

Committed to modernism in all his pursuits, Wabbes produced pieces for a series of institutions and clients. All his works are based on the expression of quality and draw upon the finest materials in the world. He is especially noted for his office desks, tables and casts.
