Johansson’s iconice Art-Deco designs highlight the beauty of simplicity

Erik Johansson worked from Reiners Møbelfabrik in Mjolby between 1940-1948. He was not only a designer but a painter. He came to be called ‘Klot-Johan’ Klot being the Swedish work for globe or sphere, this is also the name of a classic Swedish comic book about a troll moving into town.

Johansson’s iconic art-deco designs highlight the beauty of simplicity. He marries form and function in a distinctively clean manner.
